The S7/S5-OPC-Server software provides process data from Siemens Simatic S5 and S7 PLCs via the OPC interface standard. Any standard-compliant OPC-Client application can then read and write the values.
The S7/S5-OPC-Server handles the communication of Siemens Simatic S5, along with the Simatic S7 series S7-200, S7-300 and S7-400. Many communication methods are supported as per the chart below. No changes to the PLC application are required.
The S7/S5-OPC-Server has an integrated web-server for communication diagnostics and web data visualization. The S7/S5-OPC-Server also supports the use of symbolic names from S7 projects which makes it possible to import the names, without the need for the S7 project to run it.

Ordering Information
The S7/S5-OPC-Server software can be supplied as a single license with USB dongle or with software authorization system. We recommend using the license with USB dongle, if technically possible.
